And so, it appears, it begins. Finally. Not in the way that it was intended, but perhaps that seems appropriate. It may not be with that much of a bang, but at least it's not with a whimper. No, instead it starts with the first Sweep The Leg Johnny playing in the background, as Steve Sostak squeals away on his saxophone, while Vague Angels, Example's 'Toxic Breath' and Devo all still reverberate around my head.

It's not exactly an auspicious beginning, but it seems apt.

Anyway, it's not where it starts that is important - that merely provides some form of context, & if we're talking context, this should also include what came before, not just what happened to occur at the moment of conception. But what has previously been is not important at this juncture, only what could be. And what could be is not yet a given.

Where it goes from here is not yet known. That may not be apt, but it applies to the majority of things in our lives - both our everyday lives and the lives throughout which we progress every day.

And yet, this slowly begins to resemble pathos - should it actually be possible to feel pathos for the future - so perhaps we should take a break, take a breather, and return to this at another time.
